The Alexandra Practice is a GP surgery in Whalley Range, Manchester, offering primary care medical services to people living in Whalley Range or in nearby parts of Chorlton and Moss Side.
We enjoy working from a homely converted house on Wilbraham Road opposite the Gita Bhavan Temple and Chorlton Place Care Home.
Teaching
We are a partnership with four GP Partners but have other GPs who have worked at the surgery for many years. We also always have doctors in training, who are not yet independently licensed GPs, working with us under supervision. Our staff all recognise the importance of teaching and training and include a nursing team, reception and administration team, a Practice Manager and an Assistant Practice Manager.
Community
Most of the GPs and many of the staff at the practice live locally. We believe a strong local community is important for health and we are part of this community.
Practice Team Award – RCGP North West England Faculty
The Alexandra Practice was awarded the Royal College of General Practitioners North West England Faculty Team Award 2015 on 10th November 2015.
